I’m a Certified Eating Disorder Recovery Coach and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I’m also a high-achieving adult who’s finally learned that high-achieving can (and should) include rest, fun, and spontaneity.

Before I dive into why I’m here, and why I built Bite by Bite, I want to share a few personal things too:

- Kila is my ride-or-die.
- I’m a mountain biker, in spring, summer, and fall you’ll find me at the bike park, getting laps in with friends.
- I devour books, everything from self-help to fantasy (currently waiting very impatiently for the next ACOTAR book).
- Fun fact: I’m oddly obsessed with Chapstick and iPhone cases. But that’s not what we’re here to talk about. 😉

Now, let’s get into my story.

I struggled with anorexia for over a decade, starting in high school.

I grew up as an athlete playing multiple sports - basketball, soccer, and softball. By middle school, I was playing softball at a nationally competitive level. I’ve always been competitive, driven, and perfectionistic. I am the kind of person who needs to get everything right. Those sound like strengths, right? They were… until they weren’t.

The same traits that helped me succeed - the perfectionism, the intensity, the high standards, were the ones that quietly fueled my eating disorder. And the truth is: no one was pushing me. There was no coach, no parent, no media messaging driving it. It was all internal. I was competing with myself. Chasing goals I created. Measuring my worth by impossible standards. It was me vs. me… until it became me vs. the eating disorder.

In 2016, I entered outpatient treatment in a partial hospitalization program. I was discharged in 2017. And looking back, I can say this with honesty:

Was I “better”? Kind of.
Did I feel hope? A little.
Was I healed? Not really.
Recovered? Not even close.

That’s when I discovered what no one talks about: the massive gap between treatment and real life. I had a team, but not the tools. I was home, but still completely lost. What I needed most was someone , or something, to bridge that gap. What I needed was a recovery coach.

Bite by Bite slowly started to come together.

Eventually, I reached full recovery. And with it came an undeniable, gut-level pull to help others find their way too. And that’s how Bite by Bite came to life. I started an Instagram account - @bitebybiterecovery. Then, I launched the Bite by Bite Podcast on July 1, 2025. I became a Certified Eating Disorder Recovery Coach, founded Bite by Bite Eating Disorder Recovery, and developed my signature eating disorder recovery program: The High-Achiever’s Blueprint to Recovery.

I never imagined my lived experience with anorexia would become the fuel for my life’s work, but here I am coaching, speaking, creating programs, building a space where others can finally bite back.

I’m not here to change the whole world.I’’m here to help change yours and everyone else’s who is fighting the same battle I once fought.

I believe full recovery is possible. For anyone. For everyone. For you.

You are capable of it. You are worthy of it. And I won’t let you forget that.
